L'Ensemble's Acting in English: Anton Chekhov’s Text Project
16 weeks text project to self-discovery in one of the major Anton Chekhov’s Plays from rehearsals to production 1-2 classes per week composed of acting, voice, movement training, text analysis and various methods of acting.
Movement classes explore biomechanics, the physical interpretation of life, postural behaviour, balance, and your physical relation to space.
Voice classes explore the anatomy of your voice, the physical root of sound and freeing your voice in the space.
The second focus is the fusion of technical knowledge and acting.
Movement and voice classes give place for acting projects in which you will learn to free yourself in the space through physical and vocal release.
‘Trial and error’ is fundamental to our approach. It is crucial we build a strong ensemble and a safe space to allow you to explore your imagination and learn how to express it through your instrument in the work.
The training delivered by L’Ensemble is built around three main themes:
• voice
• movement
• and project work
