On March 27 every year, centres of International Theatre Institute (ITI) in several countries along with theatre professionals, organizations, universities and theatre lovers celebrate World Theatre Day. This day not only celebrates the value of the theatre arts, but also helps governments, politicians and institutions recognize the potential of the theatre arts for the society and the economy.

Thai theatre makers also celebrate World Theatre Day. Thai Theatre Foundation began an inaugural field-wide social media campaign in 2020. This year, we continued to celebrate on Facebook and invited theatre enthusiasts to share experiences from productions that are at the top of their minds. Follow hashtags #worldtheatreday and #เรื่องนี้ที่สุด to see what the Thai theatre scene had to say. At least 121 people participated this year.
