Optional Practical Training (OPT)

Optional Practical Training (OPT) is an opportunity for theatre students who hold an F-1 visa to gain work experiences in the US for at least 20 hours per week, up to 12 months. OPT opportunities are available both pre- and post-completion.

If you would like to apply for a theatre internship program with any organisation or theatre group that doesn’t support OPT, Thai Theatre Foundation is pleased to certify your OPT on their behalf.

TTF does not offer any compensation for OPT students because they do not directly work with TTF.

eligibility

1. Can apply for an Optional Practical Training (OPT) through the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS),

2. Graduating or graduated from a theatre or a theatre-related program,

3. Can communicate in Thai at proficient levels (CEFR’s C1 - C2).
