ถ้าคุณอยากรู้ว่าพลังของศิลปะจะสามารถเปลี่ยนแปลงสังคมได้มากน้อยแค่ไหน เราขอเชิญคุณมาร่วมค้นหาคำตอบกับเราในงานวันสิทธิมนุษยชน 2563 วันที่ 7-8 ธันวาคม ที่สมาคมฝรั่งเศสกรุงเทพ เวลา 18.00 น.
ในงานนี้ คุณจะได้รับชมการแสดงร่วมสมัยครั้งพิเศษชื่อ “7”การแสดงร่วมสมัยครั้งพิเศษโดย Pichet Klunchun Dance Company ซึ่งได้รับการรังสรรค์โดยคุณพิเชษฐ กลั่นชื่น ศิลปินนักเต้นโขนและนักเต้นร่วมสมัยไทยที่ได้รับการยอมรับจากนานาประเทศ ตลอดหนึ่งชั่วโมงเต็มของการแสดง หลักการพื้นฐานของสนธิสัญญาด้านสิทธิมนุษยชนทั้ง 7 ฉบับที่ประเทศไทยได้ให้สัตยาบันไว้ จะถูกนำเสนอด้วยภาษาของนาฏศิลป์ร่วมสมัย นอกจากนี้ อุปสรรคที่ทำให้คนชายขอบบางกลุ่มไม่สามารถเข้าถึงสิทธิและเสรีภาพของเขาได้อย่างเต็มที่ ก็จะถูกนำมาสะท้อนให้ผู้ชมได้สัมผัสผ่านการแสดงครั้งนี้ด้วย
การแสดงครั้งพิเศษนี้ เป็นผลผลิตหนึ่งของความร่วมมือระหว่างคณะผู้แทนสหภาพยุโรปประจำประเทศไทย กับกรมคุ้มครองสิทธิและเสรีภาพ กระทรวงยุติธรรม การนำสนธิสัญญาด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน 7 ฉบับที่ไทยได้ให้สัตยาบันไว้มาเป็นโจทย์ ก็เพื่อกระตุ้นให้เกิดการถกเถียงอย่างสร้างสรรค์เกี่ยวกับหลักการสำคัญๆ ของสนธิสัญญาระหว่างประเทศ และหนทางที่จะทำให้กฎกติกาสากลเหล่านั้นกลายเป็นแนวทางปฏิบัติขั้นพื้นฐานในชีวิตประจำวันของสังคมไทย
การแสดงแบ่งเป็น 2 รอบ รอบแรกวันที่ 7 ธันวาคม สำหรับนักเรียนนักศึกษาเข้าชมเป็นหมู่คณะ และรอบที่สองวันที่ 8 ธันวาคมสำหรับประชาชนทั่วไป ในรอบที่สองนี้ นอกจากการแสดงดีๆ กับบทสนทนาโดนๆ แล้ว เรายังมีของที่ระลึกจากสหภาพยุโรปไว้แจกผู้โชคดีที่งานด้วยนะคะ
ทั้งสองรอบไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายในการเข้าชม เพียงแค่คุณลงทะเบียนล่วงหน้าที่เว็บไซต์ engage.eu/hrd2020 และตอบคำถามของเราด้วยว่า “ในบรรดาสิทธิและเสรีภาพต่างๆ ที่ประเทศไทยให้การรับรองนั้น สิทธิหรือเสรีภาพด้านใดสำคัญที่สุดสำหรับคุณ” และนำอีเมลตอบรับมาเป็นหลักฐานในการเข้างาน

What can contemporary dance do for human rights? Come to Alliance Française Bangkok at 6pm on 7-8 December to find out.
For Human Rights Day 2020, the Delegation of the European Union to Thailand is teaming up with the Rights and Liberties Protection Department of the Ministry of Justice and the Pichet Klunchun Dance Company to present an evening of dance and open dialogue on human rights and fundamental freedoms. Entitled “7 DECADES OF HUMAN RIGHTS,” the event celebrates the 70th anniversary of the United Nations decision to observe Human Rights Day annually on 10 December – the day the historic Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted in 1948.
During this event, the Pichet Klunchun Dance Company will present “7” – the special one-hour performance created by Pichet Klunchun, an internationally celebrated Thai dancer and choreographer. During this performance, key principles of the rights and freedoms guaranteed by seven core human rights treaties that Thailand has ratified will be communicated through the language of contemporary dance. The everyday struggle of marginalised persons to enjoy basic rights and freedoms will also be illuminated.
This event is aimed at broadening human rights dialogue and inspiring actions to turn international human rights obligations into national norms and everyday practice. After the dance, the audience will be invited to an open conversation with Pichet on the role of arts in tackling social and human rights issues of today’s world.
Two performances of “7” are scheduled on 7-8 December. The first show on 7 December is for student groups only. The second show on 8 December is open to the general public. Admission is free but you must complete registration online at engage.eu/hrd2020 and answer this question: “Which of the basic rights and freedoms are most important to you?” Confirmation email will be required to enter. During the 2nd show, some of our lucky guests will also have a chance to win special EU souvenirs.
